Database Assignment for Riedner’s UW20

For this assignment, you will:

1. Review the Brainstorming and Synonyms powerpoint, then brainstorm keywords (search terms) for a topic of your own or one of the example topics.
2. Use these keywords to search for sources on your topic in three databases: CIAO: Columbia International Affairs Online, Ethnic NewsWatch, and Sociological Abstracts. You can find out how to locate these databases by opening the ALADIN document here in Blackboard.
3. At the bottom of the directions on how to find the databases, you will find several questions. For your assignment, you should answer these questions completely and send your responses to cathye@gwu.edu and rach@gwu.edu.
